Caressed by the Atlantic winds, Nerabus is a hamlet by the shores of Loch Indaal on the Hebridean Island of Islay. Islay Gin Ltd is a family owned Scottish business and is the first and only dedicated gin producing company on the Hebridean island. Nerabus Islay dry gin is a superior small-batch hand crafted gin, infused with wild Islay heather. It is produced with 100 % Isle of Islay water and bottled on the island.

The Wild Islay Heather
Heather is one of the main botanical symbols of Scotland, especially in the highlands where it grows in abundance. There are many varieties of heather and when in bloom, the Islay heather has very light purple flowers. The heather is hand picked in the months of August and September and then dried and stored for the infusion.

How to Drink Nerabus Islay Gin
The gin is a lightly floral, juniper rich, London Dry classic gin with earthy undertones. It is complemented by aromatic bitters such as Angostura.

We like our Nerabus Islay Gin with either 2 drops of Angostura aromatic bitters and plain light tonic or with Aromatic Fever Tree tonic. Both ways, with a slice of lime (not squeezed) and 1 block of ice or just very cold tonic. In addition, if you like your liquor just straight up, just pour it neat and enjoy!

Fabulous gin, one of my faves

  4. John Lane

I discovered Nerebus gin on a sailing trip to Islay last year and think it is outstanding. Drunk either straight or with a cold Fevertree tonic such as Mediterranean or Aromatic, it is simply perfect.

  5. Ian Drummond

I first sampled this last year holidaying on Islay and came home with a couple of btls. Will be returning to the island next month and will stock up on one of the best gins I have drank.
